QNG | quartet new generation

The first „QNG-baby“ and a substitute for Hannah!

Hannah is expecting the first „QNG-baby“! We congratulate her and wish her the best for the time of pregnancy and birth!

For her time-out from performing with QNG we found a great substitute and would like to introduce Eva Gemeinhardt, a recorder player from Passau:

Eva Gemeinhardt (*1986) was taught piano, recorder and violin at music schools in Germany and Austria and participated in master classes a.o. with the Amsterdam Loeki Stardust Quartet, the Flanders Recorder Quartet and Paolo Pandolfo. Since 2006 she studies with Paul Leenhouts and Jorge Isaac at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. Eva was awarded several cultural prizes as well as first prizes at national and international recorder competitions both as a soloist as well as a member of the recorder quintet Seldom Sene and the recorder quartet Quadriga della Musica that won the SONBU recorder competition in 2004. In 2009 she received the Gerd Bucerius-Scholarship of the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben. Inter alia as a member of The Royal Wind Music, Eva took part in several recording sessions. She has performed at music festivals in Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Portugal and Spain. Next to early music, Eva has special interest in contemporary solo and chamber music.
