prize winner concert on radio!
German radio WDR 3 is broadcasting the prize winner concert of the German Music Competition on 8th December 2006 at 3 p.m. in „Musikpassagen“. QNG performs „Wicked“ by Michiel Mensingh and „La Lusignuola“ by Tarquinio Merula. Use this link on the sidebar!
October US tour with world premiere!
QNG in front of the „bean“ in Chicago with the composer Stephen Taylor.
During our US october tour QNG premiered „Flow“, a new piece for recorder quartet and orchestra, by Stephen Taylor (www.stephenandrewtaylor.net). We performed with the New Philharmonic directed by Kirk Muspratt in the McAninch Arts Center in Glenn Ellyn/Illinois. Furthermore there was a concert in Peoria/Illinois.

QNG at Schleswig-Holstein Musikfestival

QNG gives a successful workshop!
1st and 2nd September QNG was guest in Schönkirchen/Kiel. Next to the evening concert we played a children concert and did a workshop, where 15 recorder playing children learnt to play the piece „Soundings IV“ by David Keberle. We performed the piece together in the evening concert one day later. It was fun for everybody!!
David Keberle had written this piece comissioned by Concert Artists Guild/New York for QNG and recorder-playing children in 2005 and it was premiered in Pittsburgh/USA.
